You sure can. Sky Go supports Airplay from your iPhone, iPad or the browser extension on your Mac. At this stage Sky Go will only be supporting airplay to Apple TV HD - 4th Gen and Apple TV 4K - the latest Gen.
- Make sure your Apple TV & device are on the same wireless network
- Go to your TV and select the source your Apple TV is plugged into
- Select a show/movie on your Sky Go app and press play
- Press the Airplay icon in the bottom right of the Sky Go video controls.
From 1 January 2021, you won’t be entitled to stream Sky outside the UK using your Sky Go, Sky Kids, Sky Sports, Sky Sports Mobile TV and Sky Sports Box Office apps. Some Sky apps will allow you to download your favourite shows and movies over WiFi before you leave home to watch offline while you’re abroad. Sky Go is a great way to enjoy Sky channels on your TV, laptop, iPhone, iPad, Android tablet or phone. Unfortunately, the service doesn’t allow you to use an HDMI cable directly, but there are ways to work around this issue.
Whatever you chose to play should now be on the big screen!
To watch Sky Go on a Smart TV you need to connect a laptop, PC, or console, to the TV’s HDMI port and then run Sky Go on that device. Sky Go does not allow video output over mobile devices, and casting options are limited. Bear in mind, Sky Go is not yet compatible with Chromecast. I have an iPad 2, 5.1.1 (not jailbroken) at the moment and would like to be able to watch things on my TV, I bought a AV out kit from eBay and this works BUT I understand Sky Go is intentionally blocked and it appears that another service I subscribe to have done the same (ADMC Sports). Connect your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to the same Wi-Fi network as your Apple TV or AirPlay 2-compatible smart TV. Open Control Center: On iPhone X or later or iPad with iPadOS 13 or later: Swipe down from the upper-right corner of the screen. On iPhone 8 or earlier or iOS 11 or earlier: Swipe up from the bottom edge of the screen.
To get Sky Go on your big screen via Chromecast support, you'll need to open the latest Sky Go app on your iPad or iPhone and make sure you have a Chromecast which is Generation 3 or Ultra.
At the top right of the app, you'll see the Chromecast icon which looks like a little TV. Select the icon. If you aren't already, you'll be prompted to connect to your Chromecast. Once connected, choose the TV show or movie you want to watch, press play and you should see Sky Go on your big screen!
Sky Go and HDMI cables aren’t the easiest things to use together for various reasons. Here’s a workaround to make things a bit simpler for anyone wishing to watch Sky Go.

Some Smart TVs also do not currently support the Sky Go app which means you might be stuck watching it on a smaller screen.
How to watch Sky Go on your phone
If you’re off on holiday or have a lot of travels planned and you’re a Sky subscriber, why not download the Sky Go app on your laptop or phone?
With this installed, you need to log in with your Sky ID and password. You should have set this up when you first joined Sky. With that done, you’re free to browse and enjoy Sky programming on your mobile device or laptop.
You can also download shows and movies to watch while you’re offline if you’re a Sky Go Extra customer, which is particularly useful when you’re heading abroad on holiday to avoid data charges.

Why won’t my HDMI cable work with Sky Go?
Sky TV hasn’t cited in an official statement why an HDMI cable won’t work when trying to watch Sky Go on your TV.
The reason for HDMI and Sky Go being incompatible is most likely a way of protecting the Sky Go content. Sky may be concerned with what customers could do with the Sky Go content. For all they know, customers could be sharing content with other people who aren’t paying customers by recording shows.

We understand this can be frustrating when you pay for the service and then you can’t use it the way you want to. Many Sky Go customers wish to watch the service on a bigger screen and an HDMI cable enables just that.
